A real gangster comes to town and (mis)hears the gang's latest plans, and wants in. Vince has somehow evaded the law for years, but Joseph plans to bring him down. This is the big one, The Great Train Robbery will put Street Smart on the map, so Steve isn't surprised that Vince would want to join the gang to get in on the job, but you can't just join Street Smart. First he has to go through the initiation ceremony, which is unlike anything a hard-core criminal like Vince has ever experienced. So, when the big day rolls around and Vince realises the big job isn't what he thought it was, he isn't going to forgive the gang for lying to him.
