FBI agent Clarice Starling has been held out of the field for more than a year since she previously captured and then killed serial killer Buffalo Bill whilst he was holding the FBI Chief Ruth Martin's own daughter hostage intended to be his next skinned alive victim until Clarice put an end to Buffalo Bill's murderous and torturous rampage. Chief Ruth Martin insists against the Psychiatrist's reservations to allow FBI agent Clarice Starling to go back out into the field investigation to solve the most recent murders of three (3) women who appear to be murdered by a new serial killer. Clarice who would prefer to stay in her preferred field as a Behavioral Analyst is pushed by Chief Ruth Martin to go right back into the middle of this new investigation based on her adept ability to understand how these serial killers think and act.
